Ready to change up your diet for the better this year? Dr. Frank B. Hu from Harvard’s School of Public Health says a few simple changes in your eating can really help you live longer.
Here are four easy diet adjustments for a healthier, longer life:
- Stick to Whole Foods:
Dr. Hu recommends choosing natural, unprocessed foods. This means lots of fruits, vegetables, grains, nuts, and legumes. He even suggests following diets like the Mediterranean, plant-based, or Okinawan, which are great for lowering the risk of diseases.
- Eat Less Processed Foods:
A lot of what we eat in America is heavily processed, including things like sugary drinks and snacks. Dr. Hu says cutting back on these is important because they can increase the risk of dying early.
